I've been thinking about it, would certainly like to have them but I have some concerns, high premiums, back-ordered items, high international shipping rate, minimum order of 50 oz for best rate, plus do you see any problems with cross border shipping of ammo shaped metal going through scanners ?

I see they are back to minting these now and have a new release as well. I'm not sure I see the high premiums canuk... unless you are buying the proof coins the others are pretty reasonable.

Despite it's awesomeness, I wouldn't recommend buying these because they seem to be easily counterfeited in the future. Most dealers won't probably give anything over spot for these, with consideration that they are generic. The premium isn't worth it in my honest opinion.

I bought 5 of the .45's and 1 of the 7.62's (I wish they were 9mm and 5.45x39 instead... But these will do ) I personally don't think the premium is actually that bad... $6 over spot. These appeal to me more than even an ASE does, and there different so I don't mind paying a bit over for them... But then again I eat, sleep and breathe firearms, they've always been my #1 collecting interest.. So ya right up my alley.. The shipping is what kills it, but I had a medallion I wanted to order from them as well so I bought them all together to save on shipping..

The NWT Mint Silver Bullet Bullion may or may not be a good investment with an eye toward future resale value. As with a lot of specialty bullion items, you may or may not ever get your premium back. That'll depend largely on how spot fares.
As for knockoffs of it being made in the future... I figure that's a "gotta happen." After all, the knockoff makers are cranking out copies of almost everything -- all the way down to and actually including the humble Sunshine Mint 1oz silver bar.
These bullion bullets are mostly for hunters, shooting sports enthusiasts and general lovers of the politically incorrect. I'm going to collect every caliber they include in the series.
Edit... Forgot to mention earlier... Provident is offering a 1oz solid copper .45ACP bullet replica. Not really a knockoff of the NWT original, but an honest, straight-up copper bullion bullet. AND... it only costs a paltry $2.49 (or less) a copy, so it's perfect for the budget-challenged!!

I bought a few boxes but IMO they aren't anything more then a novelty. I would however buy a few for the cool factor. My gun buddies love them, I have actually sold a few at $50 each to a couple gun buddies.
