What do you think is going to happen to copper bullion in the future?
Will there be an inflation?
And is it worth it buying Fine Copper Coins (Rounds) for 0.5$ Each? Or should I just go for much cheaper bars?
I invest in Gold and silver.
And I'm just thinking if I should invest in copper too.

I wouldn't invest in copper but that is just me. It isn't a precious metal and I think a lot of the hype around copper 'bullion' is people trying to make money feeding off peoples' fears. Most of it is way over priced also.

Yes I thought so too.
I've noticed that no one actually sells for the exact price as copper's real price.
And if they do, the shipping wouldn't help.
Thanks for your reply.
It seems I won't be wasting the time and money for this.

Currently the spot price is down a penney It is $3.14 a pound so that makes buy bullion it at $5.00lb it comes out to $80.00 a pound Buy electrical Heavy wire scrap as all the wire in the US has to be pure/999 fine to have the proper electrical properties The scrap price has drop faster this summer than in past years.
I don't think it will ever get over $80.00 a pound!
Don't get me wrong I have a number of the copper bullion rounds and I will by them in the future for the art work! same as with the tin bullion rounds they are selling tin/pure is about $6.50 or less a pound. The rounds are reduced to $3.00 because he couldn't sell them at the MSRP $9.95
if you got to buy silver or gold!

I have been saving all the 1982 and before pennies that I come across in my pocket change. I also have gotten a couple of copper rounds that I found had an attractive design. I do not think that this will be a huge investment. I have been pulling pennies in the "just in case" logic of it. I am not out much money by saving the pennies. I do not think that I will buy too many more rounds. I have heard of people buying copper wiring or bars from metal shops. I will not be doing this. Just the pennies for now. Only time will tell what the future of copper is.

By all means buy copper rounds if you find them interesting, but don't use them as a serious investment.

for now- stay away from copper. There is a huge over supply of copper and it continues to come online and prices have been tumbling and will continue to tumble and the use of copper is also not keeping up.

I been meaning to start a thread on all the metals but wasnt sure if there was interest.

Again, IMO, stay AWAY from the entire metals complex for now, you will be able to buy much much lower.

Ok guys thank you.
I wont be buying them as an investment.
I will be just buying a few rounds just for the sake of their looks.

Yup -- Start the new thread up and full speed ahead! I think it's best to get the dialog in it's own defined environment rather than having it popping up in
any number of different unrelated threads and as a result being almost impossible to follow.

2nd thought... When you say "...Again, IMO, stay AWAY from the entire metals complex for now, you will be able to buy much much lower." -- if you're saying
to hold off on sinking any $ into any PM's for the foreseeable future, that advice definitely needs amplification, clarification and explanation... A "don't invest in
PM's at all for right now" call isn't the easiest thing in the world to accept when spot is $21.44 and ASEs can be had for $2.59 over spot. $24ish for ASE's isn't
easy to view as an "I'm not going there" price.

Time to crank that "all the metals" thread up and get it in motion, pardner...

Mr Fred, I only gave my opinion, and its like it, you get all in a huff and puff. Just please settle down and be a good member and contribute.

I realize you get rubbed the wrong way by what I write and you cant resist saying anything. But please, tone it down, be civil and everyone will get along. The purpose of this forum is to help others not attack them.

thank you :)

Copper bars and rounds are wonderful novelty items to add a little diversity to your stack.

Yup[--You have totally misunderstood me. I was looking forward to hearing what you have to say that's the background leading to what I think looks like a
"don't buy PMs right now" statement. I'm on the verge of committing to a quantity of ASEs (owing to present spot+premium) and if this is seen as a "shoot
yourself in the foot idea" I'd like to hear why.

Don't be hypersensitive and defensive. I wasn't on the attack. Since I'm about to make a move on the ASEs before 6:00pm EST today, I was hoping to see
what you have to say by then. That was the motivation behind my pushing for the new thread.

Copper bullion; as an investment, I would never invest in copper, to bulky and I wouldn't bet on the the prices going up. Plus you never make money sitting on inventory (ie hoarding).
But as finding it for face value (pennies) and reselling it for bullion value, that's a better idea, plus you end up with a bit of older more collectible coins, a win win situation.

The problem for trying to stack copper in Canada is the price of shipping. Unless you are buying lots of copper, it is not worth having it ship from u.s because shipping fee usually is more than 100oz of copper. I buy copper round because I like the looks of it and cheap to collect various round. It is more for collecting than stacking.
