Eisenhower that I got recently as change from chinese food place :D . It looks like an ordinary Ike, but if you look closesly you can see that there is a die error on the top of the right wing and head of the eagle. It feels sharp on the edges and does have feeling of metal, so it's not glue, and glue wouldn't be so perfectly alligned at the top. How much could this be potentially worth with that kind of minting error?

Looks like a struck through cloth error. Nice find. You can see the outline of the material on the head, breast and wing.

I am glad you posted this one here from the Interesting Find From Circulation thread.

It looks like glue in the photo, but obviously having it in hand would provide me a different perspective.

Then again, for experts like Coop, photos are usually good enough.

That's glue. Not all glue is soft to the touch, go ahead and put it in acetone for an hour.

I changed my mind and now wonder if it is glue. That would explain the outline around the area in question. I saw the lines in the area and thought cloth. But I think it is now glue.

The texture confused me at first. Then the ring around it reminded me that is was glue.

Ximon: Do you mind if I add your image of the reverse to my educational files and DVD?

coop, not a problem, add as many images as you want :). It looks like glue, but then, the texture is sharp on the edges and is perfectly alligned at the top, I don't think that someone would take time to do it so perfectly. Later I will try to put some acetone on it and see if it will come off. Thank you for your toughts on this everyone

P.S. Is this type I or II?
