These were the headlines according to Canada Coin News in November of 1964! And check it out, uncirculated 1948 dollars for $300. I hope someone had a crystal ball back then.

If you take inflation into account you'd have lost money on all but a few of those silver dollars!
If you had put the $300 for a 1948 into a savings account instead,today you would be able to buy every dollar listed including the'48 in MS63.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Is the mint that was under consideration for Moncton the one that was built in Winnipeg instead?
