Hello all,
I consider myself a novice in the Coin World, but specialize in the small cents area. I came across this 1976-D while roll hunting today with "smearing" on the front, and a cracked appearance on the back. I've seen this before online, but I don't remember the official term for it. Would it just be considered a die error? Pictures are below for your convenience.
Your input is greatly appreciated!

Buddy; Yes, it's tilted. Does that add any value to this severely damaged coin?

All, thanks for the input. Kinda bummed, but hey, I'll get a home run someday...

Tilted mintmarks are common since the mintmark was added to each working die by hand until 1990. Pic is not good enough to see if it is a repunched mintmark but even so, the condition would kill any value that a minor RPM would carry.
