Hello all, I consider myself a novice in the Coin World, but specialize in the small cents area. I came across this 1976-D while roll hunting today with "smearing" on the front, and a cracked appearance on the back. I've seen this before online, but I don't remember the official term for it. Would it just be considered a die error? Pictures are below for your convenience. Your input is greatly appreciated!
Tilted mintmarks are common since the mintmark was added to each working die by hand until 1990. Pic is not good enough to see if it is a repunched mintmark but even so, the condition would kill any value that a minor RPM would carry.
