Was wondering what it could be worth. seems in bad condition can't make out almost anything on the edges. You can see the "ica" in america and united in the right light. date is legible..
Here's pictures in next post

Finding an Indian cent in a roll would seem quite rare in any condition and such an early date even more so. Congrats on your great find. Can you tell if it is a shallow N or a bold N? There's a big difference in value. Value in the condition you say it's in would be difficult to assess. It would be whatever someone is willing to pay for a hole filler. Ed ANA LM-3175

to the forum! That's a cool find! Just out of curiosity, did you find that out of a bank roll? Finding any IHC out of a bank roll is really rare, let alone a key date! In that condition it would probably be somewhere around $10-20 or so. It looks like it's probably been cleaned, but it would still be a good hole filler.

I found it in a roll of wheat pennies I bought on ebay so I guess it's a little less rare than believed haha. Currently working on the set of 1909- lincoln cents Thanks for the welcome

If its from a customer wrapped roll from ebay then it was probably seeded.

I have to admit that in the past I have salted cent & nickel Rolls with low grade Indian cents and Liberty/Buffalo Nickels when depositing coins at the Bank. My last coin give-a-way was 3 years ago when my Granddaughter was in kindergarten and needed something for the next (and last) "show-and-tell" day. I requested (and received) a list of all the childrens first names in her class and when the big day came, and it was time for my little "yaya" to stand-up and explain her off-center error Cent to the class, her teacher gave out off-center error cents (stapled in 2x2's with each students name on the holder) to each child as a gift. [I also gave her teacher 6 extra to give out] When my Daughter picked her up from school, the feedback she received from the Teacher was, "It was the best show-and-tell they've had, the children loved it". I may have added a collector or two to our hobby that day.

The IHC was definitely seeded and it was seeded because it has problems (corrosion, low grade, plus cleaned). Still good for what you paid though! Broken-coin - excellent story! I release dateless Buffalo nickels into circulation all the time. I get them all for 5 cents so I don't mind.
