enworb Pillar of the Community Australia 4411 Posts	Posted 06/26/2013 08:35 am The details are much sharper. Maybe try it outside of the 2x2. You need to have the camera perpendicular to the surface of the coin. You have got it on quite a large angle in that photo. Play around until you get it right. sfitzernator Valued Member Australia 271 Posts	Posted 06/28/2013 7:37 pm Hi Serial, I bought 2 cheap desktop lamps from K-mart, the type with a flexible shaft. They cost $9.00-$10.00 each. I have these virtually perpendicular to the coin, with a little "hole" between them, just enough clearence for the camera lens. I prefer to use my cheap powershot camera, as it has zoom and a macro setting on it. I can get adequate to very good photos from this. Nice coin, btw, I am missing a 1942 plain from my collection, and have found that they are quite difficult to get at the right price. Report this Post to the Staff
