Coin 1 was in a pound that I bought off of ebay. Both sides are identical. Diameter is about 24mm.

Coin 2 was out of the dime box at a local coin dealer (picked up a couple of $30+ coins out of that box today- aww yeah!) From the intricate styling, I'd say it looks Moroccan, but the quality is too bad for me to tell (so I had to turn to the experts) Diameter is about 23mm.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

can we see a picture of the reverse of the first coin?

the 2nd coin may be from Turkey or Egypt. Can we get a clearer picture?

Sorry, I forgot to note that the first coin is the same on both sides. I'd say it's probably a token.

coin #2 looks like Egyptian 5 or 10 Para from the early 1850's

I've uploaded the scans if that helps at all.

Found #2: It's a Turkey 1856 5 para. All I needed was that boost in the right direction!

I am going with Egyptian 5 Para, but the image lacks detail for me to be more accurate or determine a date. May be the scans or the coin being worn.

The top coin is indeed a token of some kind. I couldn't tell you if it was Japanese or Chinese/Taiwanese.

The bottom coin is actually from Turkey, not Egypt. I can read the mint name "Qustantiniyah" - the Arabic spelling of Constantinople.

Yes it says "ضرب في قسطنطينية" Which means "minted in Constantinople (Istanbul)"
The date reads "١٢٥٥" in Arabic, which is "1255 AH" and translates to "AD 1839"
