So I've got this 1883 Shield nickel, and while getting ready to take pictures of it for ebay with my usb microscope I noticed that it has doubling all over the place on the front and back letters. Is this normal? Not being all that familiar with Shield nickels I had no idea whether this was common or not. Below are the pictures. Thanks!

It has the look of Longacre Doubling, not as common on Shield nickels as other designs but still known to occur. The term "Longacre Doubling" might possibly be a misnomer; although some Longacre designs show it with great frequency, it's also known on US designs of that era which weren't his, as well as non-US issues.

"Normal," yes, but with Shields not "common."

and a pretty good example of Longacre doubling.

Thanks for the help. Just wanted to make sure before I sell it that it wasn't something that was rare and worth a lot of extra money. :)
