I have a brassy colored (almost golden looking) 1919 Lincoln Wheat cent that weighs in at 3.4 grams. The cent is in average circulated condition. Is it possible that the extra weight is due to an improperly mixed alloy? Could the extra tin and/or zinc add that much more mass to the cent? Thanks for considering my questions and I sincerely apologize for not being able to upload any pictures of the cent at this time.
