Today I wish to share images of my Newfoundland five cent set. Included are all confirmed obverse pairings and several re-engravings. Although I consider the set fundamentally complete I continue to search for other re-engravings and varieties. You'll have to excuse the condition issues; in many cases I had to settle for what I could find. It has been quite rewarding to collect the Newfoundland series and to study its fascinating history; hopefully the adventure has just begun. 1865 1870 1872H 1873 Obverse 1 PCGS Secure F-12 1873 Obverse 2 ICCS G-4 1873H NGC F-15, ICCS VG-10 1876H ICCS VG-8 Bent 1880 ICCS F-12 1880 Double Die Obverse (See Charlton pg. 24) 1881 1882H 1885 ICCS G-6 1888 Obverse 2 ICCS VG-10 (One of the highlights of the set) 1888 Obverse 3 1890 1894 1896 1903 1904H 1908 1912 1917C 1919C 1929 1938 1940C 1940C Re-Engraved 0 1941C 1941C Re-Engraved 4 1941C Re-Engraved 1 1942C 1943C 1943C Re-Engraved 4 1944C 1945C 1946C ICCS VF-20 1947C Thanks for looking! nice 1946! I think newfoundland is way under valued , and I think in the years to come they will skyrocket

Great looking set. I'm missing a few of the early ones and the 1946 Been working on the missing ones for some time but, they are getting so expensive.

Very nice! There is one here I can post that I believe you are missing. There's a book coming out soon enough all things variety, and I think you'll find there are about 25 more to collect. Tilted 7

fredor,
Several of my George VI re-engravings were purchased directly from the author of the book you describe. If there are only 25 more varieties to collect I consider myself fortunate. Any idea how close he is to publishing?
Thanks for looking, everyone.

Very close, a lot of it has been on me unfortunately as I'm doing the layout and design. I think all the sections are done, just waiting on some updated pictures. It is 407 pages long already!
