That's a gorgeous pic, but it's good enough to show how the marks continue up and over the letters, and even the rim, the way no clash should, deforming the metal like a scratch.

The last photo is a slam-dunk for PMD, the gouges start in the fields and continue over the top of the devices

The metal is obviously pushed around, leaving edges above the fields. Oh well.
