Can anyone please identify my Great Uncles medal he is wearing?

I know nothing about him except he was an electrician in the uk 1919

Uk, 1919, electrician? Is that the date of the photo?
I would suggest a service (army or navy) insignia or a reservist occupation that men had to wear to avoid being called a coward or worst.
