Of course, I know mine. The Austrian 100-corona of 1908: a one-year type celebrating the 60th year of Franz Josef's reign (the third-longest-ruling European monarch ever). And there are proofs available, too! And yet, even with a mintage of just 16,000 (the largest mintage of its series), fully uncirculated examples are valued at about $4,000: a steal (proofs exist, but they are usually in lower grades like PF-61). My long-term goal of long-term goals is to get the full set of four 1908 corona coins (1, 5, 10, 100), with 10 and 100 being proofs. Honestly, though, I think this coin completely surpasses the St. Gaudens double eagle for truly beautiful gold:

But really, the entire series is beautiful. The 10 corona is usually found for not much above melt, even in BU:

Unlike the gold, however, the silver coronas seem to have actually circulated. A BU 5-corona from this series would probably break $100, pretty far above melt (although they are close to a troy ounce of silver), and even this one is being sold for $30:

Then the 1 corona is actually affordable, so that's where I'll start. But I hope I can get a full set together in my lifetime: but I'd want them all next to each other, so I'd probably at least break out the 10 corona to put it in a solid plastic container (matching the other ones). The 100 corona might be too valuable to break out - but I'd really love a nice display box with all four in the same capsules, and I find slabs ugly... :(

Mine is the 1792 Half Disme. Just the design on the coin looks powerful and shows history. It looks old america and that's why I love it.

My dream coin is my avatar. 1822-R, brazilian 6400 Reis Gold Crowning Piece for D. Pedro I. Only 64 were minted, around 16 of them are known nowadays.

I'm pretty sure I paid close to melt for my 1908 5 Coronae, which is at least VF.
It's a beautiful piece, but I think for best effect the Austrian Jubilee pieces of 1908 need to be paired with the Hungarian pieces of 1907.

I don't know that I have a specific "Holy Grail", though.

I'd say the 1964-D Peace dollar (I'd bet my back teeth there are at least a couple out there hiding from the reaches of the Treasury agents).

Though if I had one, I don't know if I could withstand the legal onslaught from the US Government that would rain down on me

And, for a few that are actually obtainable. if I had the money to spare to buy them (There are about a dozen more pieces I have photos of), but these are a few of the cooler ones out there:

For now I'll just suffice with collecting photos of 2¢ major errors.

Most people want a coin that is rather on the excessively expensive side as a dream coin. Mine is a lot simpler. All I want is a 1916D Mercury dime in enough of a high grade to be FSB. I'm slowly building a complete FSB Album and only need that one and the 21D FSB to complete.

I know a gentleman that used to work for NASA during the Apollo program. He has a coin that was made from the shackle that connected the Eagle's lift winch cable to the moon rock bag. It was the only piece of the LEM that returned home. These were given to a select few that worked on the LEM.

I'm too new to this to have figured out my "Holy Grail" coin but one of these would be up there on the list.

I think my dream coin would be a large medieval English gold coin, like a noble or an angel. One of those huge silver pounds of Charles I would be nice as well.

My dream coin would be the Vienna mint 1926 Gold 1780 Maria Theresa Thaler that Austria presented to Haille Selaissie. Second choice would be the Bombay mint gold MTT that was presented to King Farouk

Constantius Chlorus' medal minted to commemorate the capture of Londinium from the forces of Allectus, thus returning Britain to the Roman Empire after years of turmoil for Rome from the Gallic and Britannic empire. Pretty darn cool and flipping huge. 1 known. Other gold medals were found with it, but most were melted. Smooth, archeologists, smooth.
