Hello all. I will soon be going on vacation to Los Angeles, California for the summer. While I'm there I would like to check out some local coin shops. I will specifically be staying in Pasadena but I will spend most of my time in the Los Angeles area. Do any of you know of any relatively close coin shops in this area that you can recommend? I'm interested mostly in wheat cents but all suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your time!

I have visited a couple of coin shops in the San Fernando Valley and wasn't very impressed with their inventories or attitudes.

Yesterday I was at a coins shop in Burbank and picked up 2 2013 ASE for $50 that came out of a roll, not too bad. I then went to a local pawn shop and asked how much are the ASE's? and the replied $30. These ASE's looked like they have been circulated. I passed on these.

I would recommend a Yelp search in the area you'll be in and read the reviews.

Check out my friends at Alhambra Coin Center. It's just South of Pasadena around 5 miles.
I've been going there for over 25 years. Good inventory, good people.

There is one on Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena. Don't recall the name.
