This Connecticut Yankee wants to chime in with a vote for the 50 cent piece. The reverse never fails to fascinate me. Union Jack and Fleur de Lis. Lion and unicorn. From sea to sea. The traditional seal of the mother country [countries] transplanted to North America. I just dug out my 1965 example PL to admire again. What's not to like?

My vote is for the George VI Fifty Cent coins... I'm a variety collector and there are certainly many major and minor varieties in this series.

Fifty cents for the challenge of trying to find problem-free coins. Tough to find a nice example of some of early Canada's "workhorses" especially those from the Victorian era.
I also dig five cent silvers - currently working on a Gardmaster album. Again, it's a challenge to find problem-free examples of such tiny coins.

Although fifty cent pieces are awesome I really have an interest in dimes. Most likely because when I was younger I always heard my uncle saying he was going to buy more dimes for his collection. At the time I was more into George the 5th nickels and now 10 years later I guess I picked up his interest in dimes.

I like quarters - old ones, Victorian and Edward. Tough to find in nice grades and lots of very scarce coins. The series is full of keys.
