I have a 1943 tombac nickel encased in 2 x 2 holder. What is your estimate of its grade and/or value? I see that there are black marks on one side - is this some sort of corrosion? The Victory side seems to have nice two toned colour but of course some of the sheen may be due to the plastic cover. Is this just a standard fare tombac?

As, the others said, not worth that much but, at least you have a 'Tombac'. I would guess, it was in a holder of some sort for quite a while re, the toning on the coin.
Thank you for all the feedback and good information. I believe that the coin was in a holder (and still is) for well over 30 years. That is why I am surprised to see the black marks or corrosion on the obverse.
