Hi...received this coin in a bulk lot, first instinct was that rim damage was caused in circulation but on closer inspection it seems it may be a minting error as well as there are denticles missing and also stamped on the outside of the rim in places, anythoughts,TIA .

Yeah,my first instinct was the same but the denticles above "öf" are on the rim itself and in other parts missing alltogether, not sure myself.

Seller knew it was there, bag of lesser/poorer grade scarce & variety coins.

Anyone have an opinion on the damage?,not sure what has caused it as denticles seem out of place in some sections.

My first thought is PMD. Unless someone can pose a plausible explanation otherwise I'm sticking with that.

Yeah it looks like someone has messed with it but it's still

Yeah, thanks for replies but I'm like a dog with a bone with this Coin, something not right but I can't put my finger on it,the Denticles above "öf"on Reverse for eg,are completely out of position but the rim still has its "roundness".
