My views FWIW ... Assuming the full reverse photo shown by the OP is the same coin ... than this is a CAM example of the 1992-D LMC. Quote: I have used a macro lens and a real camera, does this help? Yes it does .... and IMHO the easiest diagnostic to identify this variety is the spacing between the "T" "A" and "T" of " STATES" on the reverse legend. If the spacing is even ... then this is a Wide AM variety ... If the "A" abuts that final "T" in ST ATES ... then the coin is a Close AM variety. The reverse photo shown clearly shows a CAM variety ... Congrats! David

Man! I've been looking at every 1992 possible, and didn't think I had a chance, but good to know that the chance (although rather slim) just plumped up again. Amazing find! In it's condition, should get 10k+ IMHO

If both obverse and reverse are the same coin, it looks like you found a gem. Does anyone here think that NGC's conservation service can remove the dark spot on the obverse

It is the same coin. Here is a better photo of the obverse. Many thanks to everyone for all the input.

Im almost convinced its a CAM assuming its not a Magicians coin. That is an incredible find if it indeed is a CAM...Congrats!

I would do NGC conservation and have em slab it while they're at it.

The first images I posted were taken by a cell phone. I have seen many great photos posted here in the last couple of years that had been photographed that way. Mine were not so great. The last set of photos were taken with a camera and macro lens as I previously posted. I can assure you (drdon) and anyone else the coin is the same and quite real. I decided to join this community to share what I had found and show the impossible can be possible. I knew what I had found the moment I saw it. This post is no hoax.
