Is This 1923 Peace Dollar Cleaned? - Coin Community Forum

Erns Valued Member Puerto Rico 92 Posts	Posted 07/31/2013 03:32 am Hello. I've had this 1923 Peace dollar since I was a little kid. I wanted to know if this coin was cleaned and if it's worth anything over melt value. The coin has a very slight yellowish tone which contrasts with the coin's original color at the 3 o'clock position of the obverse and on the left side of the reverse. I'm pretty sure it has cartwheel luster but I am not an expert so I could be wrong. Any grade estimations would also be appreciated. Thank you for your time today. Report this Post to the Staff

westcoin Pillar of the Community United States 9792 Posts	Posted 07/31/2013 04:06 am This coin appears to have had a very light rubbing or very light circulation making it a grade of AU55, I don't see any real solid evidence to say it was cleaned.
