Hello. I've had this 1923 Peace dollar since I was a little kid. I wanted to know if this coin was cleaned and if it's worth anything over melt value. The coin has a very slight yellowish tone which contrasts with the coin's original color at the 3 o'clock position of the obverse and on the left side of the reverse. I'm pretty sure it has cartwheel luster but I am not an expert so I could be wrong. Any grade estimations would also be appreciated. Thank you for your time today.

This coin appears to have had a very light rubbing or very light circulation making it a grade of AU55, I don't see any real solid evidence to say it was cleaned. The yellowish color is just a touch of patina or toning, and quite natural.

Be careful about that dark spot over the 9 in the date. Don't let that grow. It has decent luster but with photgraphs instead of live viewing this is difficult

I am no pro but I see no evidence of cleaning.
