1756 Pillar Dollar: Authentic Or Fake?

But the coin looks either sea salvaged (that could explain the lower weight, although a gram is starting to be problematic) ... or cast. Could you post clear pictures of the edge ? mysilveryears Pillar of the Community United States 1888 Posts	Posted 08/03/2013 6:59 pm Unfortunately I wasn't able to get clear shots of the edge when taking the above photos, and the owner is someone I see only occasionally. I can report that the edge was very 'mushy' to my eye, and just did not look good. I suspect after the intense discussion we had about this piece, that the owner has already returned it to the seller. Report this Post to the Staff
