This one caught my eye so I pulled the trigger.

Erm....were my pictures that bad or is my coin not so good?

Perhaps I've breached some sort of protocol or something? 90 some-odd views and it's cricket chirp city.

Oh, well....I like the coin.

I'm too scared to venture a grade on a Franklin (with the Full Bell Lines etc) - it looks great though.

I appreciate your honest response. I too have no idea as I am a noob when it comes to seriously collecting coins.

If it has luster and little to no wear, I tend to buy.

I bought this particular coin for $8 so I think I got a really good deal.

Looks like a nice MS-64. For 8 bucks, you got a smoking deal.

Excellent!

I had a feeling about this one. Tomorrow, I will attempt to purchase another one for the same price. Wish me luck!

I'd say MS64 not enough strike to go full bell lines IMO.

I went back to the antique store where I found the Franklin in the pic above, and sure enough, the other one was still there for sale.

I paid the same price for this one.

The obverse isn't as nice as the first one. A small ding just above the ear, three tiny pits on the back of the head and three tiny pits in the field behind the head. I think the reverse is nicer and shows a little more of the bell lines, though.

I am very happy with the price, so I will definitely not complain!
