Hello everyone,
This doubling is different than we've seen so far. It is only on the middle to right side on the back of the coin. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like Die Deterioration Doubling to me.

I'll go with classic Mechanical Doubling with this one, on a LDS die.

Based on the "N" in"UNUM" I'd say Die Deterioration.

Wow, I have an identical Maryland quarter! I've wondered for years what was up with it, but couldn't manage to take postworthy pictures of the doubling. Thanks for posting this, E and the A, now I have closure to my long-unsolved mystery..

It is Machine Doubling. Die movement during the strike. Flat shelf like, reducing the devices.
