Looks like a normal 1997 cent from what I can see. If it were a dime planchet it would be silver in color. Also the clad would be showing.

Thanks for the input coop. Check this one out..its not really silver looking. You don't see the silver looking spot on mine? Not saying mine is but it is definitely missing some copper on the surface.

i see what you are talking about with the color coinfox but that is not what I was looking at if it were struck on a dime planchet it would be cut off somewhere and be smaller notice how the bottom is cut off and how close the edge is to the L in liberty in the graded coin...ima go with coop on this one and say it just looks normal to me..maybe some plating issue but the picture is hard to tell...have you tried weighing it...i do not know but I'm guessing the weight would be a lot different than a normal zincoln

Not worth a dime. unless you have a dozen, then you'll have a dime plus 2 cents worth

Thanks Benjamin and Coop! I'm just begining to learn all the basics of recognizing errors and post mint errors. Thanks for all of your patience. I do see what you are talking about. The coin weighs 2.5 grams. At this point, I would go with a plating issue as you said. It has a very neat look in hand. How would you guys recommend I take better pics of this one?

The only thing I would improve is the image size. 800-1000 Pixels width works better. More can be seen on the image. Image quality is fine.
