Although we tend to have fun reminding ourselves that ebay seller asyn cannot grade accurately, at least he does not lead you astray... http://www.ebay.com/itm/CANADA-1891...310716511959Nevermind the grade - these are the biggest 'small leaves' and largest 'small date, I have ever seen!! At least this seller got the date right... I feel a little silly not knowing about the "National Numistmatic Association".
Must be a new start up?

NNC and the seller (centsles) are one and the same person. A bit of a conflict of interest there.

It is good to bring these types of things to the attention of the members of this forum. However IMHO there needs to be care exercised in terms of generalizing and jumping to conclusions.
It is always caveat emptor.
But we all learn from our experiences.

In jumping to conclusion I was referring to this Quote: seller asyn cannot grade accurately Although one could argue that since we are doing it in "fun" it is okay. Perhaps I should rephrase and say "pick on particular sellers"

not so much picking as pointing out the obvious (to us collectors) "errors" that mislead buyers.
Obviously buyer beware is the best policy to go by, but sometimes its needed to point out a few examples so new buyers and not so experienced collectors get a better idea and can avoid getting burned.

Several Canadian large cent collectors (who shall remain anonymous), contacted the seller. This seller replied to one of them, and the listing was pulled.

Sellers with massive numbers like asyn and centsles should be held to the highest standards. What kind of moron has that volume of sales and doesn't know the product they sell?
