Check this out. What is going on with this doubling on the statue? I haven't seen this on any other Lincoln. Thanks all.

I believe this is localized die polishing. The single squeeze doubled dies have this area affected more often, but this is the old fashioned hubbing process that involved several steps. Usually though doubling on the pre single squeezed dies affects the outer devices. The small and large date 1974's had the mushy statues on them.
