Maybe I'm over-reacting, but something just doesn't feel right about this auction. Am I justified, or just paranoid? Are the coins cleaned, faked, or perfectly normal?

Yes.. If you were going to put up 3 1948 dollars for a starting price of .99..

It would be a lot better to separate them, so something tells me something is wrong or, am I being paranoid too!!

I see a '25 nickel that looks like it's still in asyn's special packaging (vinyl flip with staples)...

I also just saw the 1926 near 6 advertised as far. I would assume the two graded examples he is selling are Far 6 but the ungraded example does not look to be far at all.

As to the OP's question. That is a lot of money to spend and if you are in doubt I would advise against bidding.

Thanks very much for the 64 dime, made my day.

I believe this is the same seller who had the lot of four 1948's listed earlier, with one them being a fake. He pulled the auction and now relisted the three legit ones.

He's sure getting a lot of action for a relatively new seller with some fairly high-end stuff.

I'd be suspicious of anyone who starts a new ebay store and only sells top rarities...

Cleaned with silver polish, in my opinion.

I am now afraid of high-end coins after reading the discussion about the certified counterfeits.

I think it's three coins from a four coin listing that was pulled by ebay because one of them was clearly a fake from China. So he pulled the obviously fake one and relisted the other three...
When in doubt, stay out is my advice...

bottom left just looks "off" for some reason that I can't nail down.

IF legit, "cleaned" is an understatement.
