Hey all. Id like opinions on this 1963 Proof franklin. Actual grade, as I dont see the cameo. I'm curious of the holder as well. Its an older style, I think. Not sure though. I really like how this coin looks though.

I like Franklin proofs and I collect cameo's. It is in an older ANACS holder and listed as cameo. The grading company is a trusted source and it more than likely a cameo. They they can be hard to photograph especially if you are including the slab in your photo.

looks nice
if you zoom in, the fields look reflective, but Franklin is not.

Sorry forgot to add the link. Its there now.
im glad it was ANACS. I looked for some older slabs to compare too. But I didnt see one that didnt say anacs somewhere on it. So I was a lil concerned it was some other group. This coin has been callin to me since I was listed, but I was unsure. I meant to post and ask all week but kept putting it off. I still decided to get it anyway because of how nice it looked to me and the price was right. Just had a feeling about it, you know what I mean?

A couple years ago my wife brought home a proof 1963 Franklin half that someone spent at her store. Maybe I should send it in to be slabbed. Probably wouldn't get a 66 cameo grade though.

I have seen polished MS66 and better '63 Franklins in non cameo. What gives?

Looks like the grader left his fingertip in the slab. That had to hurt!
