I have recently been looking online for which double die or varieties to look for in memorial cents. I havent found anything so far, but I wonder if I am wasting my time looking for extremely rare ones. Is there a list out there of "not-so-rare" ones?

coppercoins.com Has a searchable database of hundreds of doubled dies and RPM's with great pictures to help you determine what variety you have.

There are more DDOs, DDRs and RPMs than you could keep track of. You just need to decide which ones you want to search for. Dave42 is right. coppercoins.com will give you info & pictures to help you decide. By the way to the forum.

Are you doing this to collect? Or to make money? If you are doing it to make money you will be wasting your time. If you are doing this to collect it can be a rewarding hobby.

In my personal experience roll hunting, Wide "AM"'s have been my greatest find in numbers. You should be able to find those with some time spent roll hunting. At least those were my results anyway. I think I have found close to a half dozen in roughly a year. Some dates are harder than others to come by, but you are looking for these in 1998-2000. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/wideams.htmlAlso, another coin I am always on the look out for in the wild is 1970-S Small Date http://www.lincolncentresource.com/...alldate.html

Yes,the Wide A.M.'s are so,so cool. My story of me finding the "Big One"(1999) is in past posts. These are fun to track down. These varieties are under rated. Mine was the very first Wide A.M. variety to ever be slabbed by NGC. My NGC 64RB 1999, has unfortunately, been sold! I'm kicking myself everyday that I did this. Oh well,I'm trying to find it again, but not desperate about it. Keep on hunting for those Wide A.M's.-joey
