The toning is thin on the high points, and makes it look more worn than it actually is.
Not quite MS.
Have a look at Lib's hair, not much wear at this point!
Intact lines on shields, both sides, well defined stars, rims good.
Ribband a bit ill defined, suggestive of a weaker strike, for some reason, in that area only.

AU55, maybe up to 8.
Pleasing coin!

I'm seeing AU55 on this one, it sure has great eye appeal. I could see it in a higher grade holder possibly, but would need much larger photos to determine the grade further., I see not much wrong with this coin from these photos. I'm in agreement with Sel_69l, it's the thinning of toning color on the high points that leads me to think there is a very light rub at one point there, causing the toning to be somewhat lighter from attaching to the metal due to some left over oil from handling. The reverse fields seem to have some very slight scuffing where the flat fields show an almost proof like finish on this series usually, hairlines I'm betting would show very light handling on a large photo of the reverse.

A super coin for a type set!

Though a mint state grade would not surprise me on this beauty either.

1874 ‘ARROWS' Seated 50 cent. NGC graded: AU58.

I am not so sure it's a solid 58. I will send to CAC and report back.

Thanks!
