F12-15.
I don't think the reverse ding would warrant a details grade personally.

XF40. a few minor surface issues and a reverse rim ding but I don't think it would warrant a detail grade but would devalue it a little. Maybe 30%

I think it's a VF-35. Pretty close to 40.

I have IDed it as N6, Plain hair cords. Confirmation would be welcome!:) BTW, this type is know for its fading of the denticles. I am personally in the VF+-EF club on this one. I am seeing a somewhat worn die with an ok strike. What I like are that the split stars are still present and the color and surfaces look 100% not messed with. I do not think the rim ding sinks it a full grade but may hold it VF+ IMHO;)

Thanks for all the grades and comments! Here are a couple more pics. The first pics at the top of the thread were shot with axial lighting. The new pics (below) I shot with angled lighting.

I agree with you that the surfaces look original. the denticles are from a weak strike thus my grade of EF40. some of the hair could be from the strike also.

After looking at your newer photos I'm going to change my original opinion to VF30/35. Still a nice coin.

I think VF25-30 range. Now an EAC grade might take it too F15 as I'm learning. The EAC grading is really, really strict and tough.
