I picked up this 1807 Draped Bust Half earlier this summer. It is in a problem-free NGC holder. What grade would you assign?

Very nice old half dollar, I'd guess they said F15.

Obverse stronger than the reverse as stated by others, I think they gave it a F-15 grade. Sure is a nice coin, one that I do not have.

Thanks for all the grades and comments. NGC graded it VG10 which is a fair (and conservative IMHO) grade. It looks like one that could grade F12 or maybe even F15 on a given day. It has a CAC Green sticker also. As a side note this coin arrived with a slightly chipped slab and the coin angled in the prongs. I sent it to PCGS for crossover at "ANY" to see what happens. I'll post their grade when it returns.

Wow still a super coin, and under graded a tad IMO. The green bean says CAC agrees with NGC - If I owned this I'd probably crack it out and send it to PCGS too. I see you did send it off to PCGS but in the NGC holder - I think it will crossover, but probably at the same grade as NGC gave it originally, no sense in making someone else besides themselves money on it. Either way it's a close call, if it comes back in a F12 or F15 I'm sending in a few NGC coins I have for crossover. Keep us informed BH1964, eagerly awaiting your results, I sure hope you get some love from PCGS on this one!
