I would point that out if I salted it. Since he also sells oriental rugs I doubt he knows! Does Snow do rarity ratings? Is this a R-2? Report this Post to the Staff

The rating takes in consideration rarity and desirability. This coin has a 5 star rating which carries a 10x premium over a non variety. However, I think past auctions are a better indication of the value. Even Snow says that his ratings are vague and open to market interpretations. Report this Post to the Staff

Scare variety in high grades, more readily available in low grades. Known as a naked-eye variety. Suprisingly rare in gem red condition. Highest know is MS-63 Red.
