I bought this coin a week ago or so on ebay. I was up late and noticed the Hannes Tulving slab (exactly the same as Fade to Black's 3 Morgans that he posted a few weeks ago) and decided to bid. I won the final coin after being outbid on the first 3.

The golden hue on the left hand side of the reverse is toning and the scratch that runs to left of "TO" and down through "trust" is on the holder's surface.

Thanks for looking!

I am hoping that it is at least an MS65 with the possibility of it squeaking up to MS66.

That was the one that went for about $80 right? I'd say 65.

Yep, that's the one. It sure is a looker. The Tulving slab had it graded as MS64 and priced at $370-something. A little undergraded but way, way overpriced.

One of these days I will break this one out and send it in to either NGC or PCGS.
Rest in Peace

That should be an easy MS65. Nice pick!

MS64 with a shot at MS65!

Make sure it's not a VAM 10 that would really be something!

Thanks! I have been on an enormously huge roll lately. The stars must have aligned for me or something. In the last few months, I've inherited several gold coins; I've found a Seated Libery dime, a Buffalo nickel and several other older coins at work; aaannnnd I just had enough money scraped up to be able to order a 2013 1 oz. Reverse Proof Buffalo Gold coin!

Life is good. There must be an iceberg waiting for me somewhere out there.

MS65...Don't think its strong enough for 66. The scratch through TRUST and the pinpricks on the neck would keep it from going higher

Pan, the scratch through trust is on the slab.

I don't think it has the luster for 66.
