hi everyone I'm new to the forum look forward to learning from you all. In the 2012 Fred levers pre dec/dec variety and error coins reference guide , he refers to a 2005 reverse roo hybrid coin.does anybody know anything about this coins detail. Hope to hear a response. Cheers

In 2005 the mint was only meant to use the WWII reverse. They accidentally used the standard mob of roos reverse and in order to save face when they realised they continued to mint a small run. Theyre not overly scarce but are the lowest mintage circulating MOR if my memory serves me correctly.

Yep,mintage was 5.7 Million or so,lots were hoarded because of the low mintage so it's easy to get them in chUNC,gemUNC.

I have managed to find quite a few in circulation, lately, but sent them all back. Some of the bags I got from the bank had 2 or 3 of them in, I did wonder how scarce they were.

If theyre circulated I wouldnt bother keeping them. As AA said there are so many rolls out there that they will always be an easy coin in CH.UNC+
