2 questions please.
1. Can a Cud be on any part of the coin?
2. And are the old 50's BIE errors considered Cud? Thanks.

1- Cuds are on the rim of the coin. Metal is pushed up into the part of the die that is missing/broke off when the two dies strike each other. If you look on the otherside of the coin you will notice a indentation where the metal was pushed up to fill the void of the broke die. (I hope that made sense)

2- No they are not considered Cuds

3- Sweet find SUDZ!

1. A Cud is a piece of the die that breaks off on the outside diameter.

2. When they are in the interior, they are chips. So BIEs are chips.

Another great find, Sudz! Congrats!

Was this found in one of those bags that you pick up from the local bank?

Yes it was coinaki, they continue to produce some nice treasures. And, wait, what? There's a place to go to identify Cud's robbuddo? Is this a Cherry Picker's Guide designation or is there a link you could give me? I had no idea... I have a couple more I'd like to ID. Thanks in advance...
