O-111! This is a "sit back and contemplate the coin with a beverage of choice" moment.

Not a terrible price, either. For the community: O-111 is considered perhaps the most unique variety of the year. Almost invisible in the auction images is wide recutting of the date and B in LIBERTY, and more importantly the huge die crack on the reverse, plainly visible from the ST of STATES. It's also the only 1795 variety with three leaves on each side in the space below the eagle's wings, the only use of this reverse in 1795. Given that die crack, it's easy to understand why.

Near as I can tell, VF is Condition Census for this one.

That is still a beautiful coin regardless of the detail grade, as are most any really early US coins! Nice little score stringboogie! As I see Dick Osborn has a FR02 and a VG8 examples for sale at $500.00 more than you just paid. Ka Ching!

Nice pick up on a 'details' coin. IMHO the slight scratch looks more like wear to me - I would not kick that one out of my collection. Way to buy the coin and not the plastic!

Given a choice between this coin with a 'scratch' and a comparable coin without the scratch but 'cleaned,' I'll take the scratched one every time.
We should all look so good at age 218!
Great purchase!

Nice. On coinfacts it says that there is only 2 know with the 3 leaves. Not sure if it updated but well worth $1200 all day. Nice catch

Not sure where they got that data; Heritage has offered almost 40 of them at auction. Some are likely duplicates but considerably more than two exist.
