I was just finishing my last roll of the box and I found this coin. I have never seen anything like it but I'm sure someone here knows what it is. I think it's a 2006 but you can't really tell. The coin is brand new.

Struck through error. (Grease) That one is a keeper. I've got one that tops that one though.

Why would the reverse be affected this way....from a insufficient pressure?

Very nice find. There are some out there that are practically blank because of the die fill.

That is a nice clogged die example because both sides are affected A very weak strike would not only affect the design detail but the rims as well, leaving them weak and rounded. Heavy grease strikes tend to have well-formed rims because the metal that cannot expand into the clogged die detail has to go somewhere so it flows outward to the periphery
