Ya they do.
people (included myself) are willing to pay $750 plus tax for only 12g of 14Karat gold coin. Now it is over $2000.

I collect NCLT coins that I like and enjoy them. I do not apply spot price for my NCLT collection.
But for the bullion collection. I will get them as closed to spot as possible.

I'm sorry but 44.75 for a 1/4 of silver is a steal when you compare paying hundreds for plated steel bird coins. Or all other plated coins the RCM has been coming out with. Let's not forget those cronickle dino coins. The RCM should really take a bow on these coins.

It cost the boot legers less then 2 bucks a pop to make one of those plated coins, must be around the same or less for the RCM. But you've got people willing to pay huge amounts more for them. It's weird how the world runs sometimes.

RCM is doing a really great job ... now we consider paying $44.75 for 1/4 silver oz as a good price ...

Yes indeed, the RCM is going a good job. Only time will tell if these prices will hold on the secondary market.

Personally, I'm still waiting for the $100/oz silver price that was promised last year.

Thanks for the link to those pictures, arianzo!

I downloaded all seven and saved them to My Pictures.

BTW, I think BiBo, thecurse9 and myself should get a commission from the RCM for helping sell the 1/4 OZ "Vintage Superman" sleeper coin off the shelves to become "Awaiting Stock".

The newest catalog from the mint omits the weights of the coins, only listing the diameter and metal content. I am officially DONE with the mint.

Has anyone goes back to read some of the comment in the first 10 pages? It shows how many of us changed our mind on these coins.

I just ordered the full 7 coin set including 2 gold coins [which is all you can order.] It says on the RCM website that these coins are only available in Canada and the US.....These coins should be very appealing to any Superman collector.... and to myself who is a Coin Dealer/collector and a Superman fan with a small Superman comic collection they are irresistable. In fact I seldom order the RCM bling but who can resist a gold coin with just a scant 2,000 mintage which claims to be the only Superman coin ever released by a govt. Mint? If any of the gold coins are still available by the end of today I would be shocked. I think they are nicely designed and the RCM has actually used so called Kryptonian writng on the reverse which apart from the CANADA 75 DOLLARS 2013 is the only writing in the legend. Brilliant release by the RCM.

But do not forget, it depends, which game you play.

He mentioned, that he is Coin Dealer / Collector. So for him was a very smart move to order as many as he could, specially the Gold Superman coin (which IMO - another painted coin).

And "just a collector" will order 1, sometimes 2 same items.

So for CASSIDY77 I just hope, that he didn't play a "quick flip" , but waited enough in order to get maximum from the coins re-sell.

What a day! I just received my Superman Gold from Gatewest today plus a vintage and the lenticular.

My set is now complete, I need a bigger coin display cabinet lol, looks like I have a winter project to do in my woodworking shop over the next few months or so.
