From a distance they all look like decent MS examples, but they all seem to have quite a bit of chatter, namely on her cheek and neck in every one. Since these are so far away, I have a feeling that a macro shot will show some very detrimental marks....... Report this Post to the Staff

Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6392 Posts	Posted 06/07/2007 4:36 pm Hello Ron, The pictures could be better, but that won't stop me from offering an opinion or three! The 1886 appears to have decent luster and might be MS, although I see some flat spots in Liberty's hair and a trace of color change on her cheek that could be light wear. I'd guess it could grade from AU-58 to MS-63; my pick is MS62. The 1888 has reduced luster and signs of rub on Liberty's hair and cheek. I see what might be some swirly hairlines on the reverse from cleaning. It also looks like there might be slight damage at the last 8 in the date and on E-D of United. This is a less appealing coin and I'd grade it AU-50 to maybe AU-55. The 1889 looks the best to me. It's limited by facial marks but I'd guess it's MS-63. Report this Post to the Staff
DoubleDie Valued Member United States 214 Posts	Posted 06/08/2007 09:41 am The 1886 is either AU58 or MS60, it depends on if there is damage on the upper cheek. I would like to view this area better. The 1888 is weekly struck, but may not grade higher than AU58. However, the coin looks cleaned and a better picture is needed for complete analys. The 1889 should grade MS63.
