I'm pretty sure it's just a piece for allusions. I could be wrong though.

to CCF. That would be considered post mint damage.Looks like each coin was filed down in half and then probably glued together, just guessing though.

Thank you for replying..I saw a similar coin on a different site that had a dime obverse and Wheat cent rev.. It had a "M" stamped on both sides, and was in poor condition. No one replied to the post except me.. Any other input is appreciated. My coin weighs 2.0g by the way.

That is one of the magicians coins. You know hold it in your hand and it is a cent, open hand again (fliped the coin) now it is a dime. Nice images. Can I add them to my educational files?
Rest in Peace

Looks like a fun piece. If you look up ' Magician's coin' you can learn how they are made.

I have a couple of them. I was such a newb when I found a double-headed quarter ---got all excited --- noticed that it had two different MM....

Anyway, they're fun to find and I'm keeping mine.

Thank you all for the info! Now for my next trick... haha! Yes, Coop, I would be honored to have my coin listed in your educational files. Are you a teacher?

On most forums I'm accused of that. LOL The images show more of what I'm talking about and can fill in the gaps for newer collectors. The DVD for the next up date is at 1,196 images and still adding to it. My image host has over 2400 images. So I put them to good use.

Awesome Coop, thanks again.. So, I looked up "magicians coins" as Buddy suggested earlier and found the answer to another question I had on a different coin. I will post the pictures of what was going to be my next inquiry.. This is a "one cent coin in the process of becoming a Magicians coin" and if Coop wishes to, he may use them also.
comments are always welcome and appreciated

Thanks again guys. The next update version will be the same with about 100-200 new images depending on which previous version you received. I'm created new music to add to newer versions also. Just keep the new stuff coming guys.

It may becoming one, or it may have already been one and the dime half fell out and was lost.

As mentioned, it's part of a Magician's trick coin. The trick is called "Scotch & Soda", a quick google search will fill you in on the details. Older scotch & Soda trick coins are a lot of fun and can sure catch you off guard!

Liked that older basic lathe in the video.
Been a while since I ran one, but now I want one.
Think I can pick one pretty cheap out there.
First project: Morgan/Peace dollar. Fun stuff !
