I picked this piece up Sunday at a local coin show. I'm curious as to what the grade con-census is. I would also like a price range, but only to see if I did as well as I think I did. (I probably think I did better than I did.) This piece has had some type of wiping . After all is said, I will let you all know the sellers grade & price to include what I negotiated it for . Thank You All in advance.

I don't grade coins, but those that do will probably need pictures more in focus. The table top is in focus, try to back away from the coin more.

Those are much better pictures.

Are the width of these rims making anyone else very afraid for chris, here?

to me the rim size looks consistent with images of the same coin graded by ngc I found on ebay.

Yeah, on second thought, I guess they look ok. Doesn't hurt to be too cautious with these, though.

Same here. I do know it knocks the grade price down some. But, I'm just not sure how much.

I was thinking the exact same thing, then I looked at pictures of my funky 1843 Seated dollar and the reverse rims (my main concern area) look just the same as Chris's.

I would grade Chris's beauty at MS-62.

My RedBook puts this gorgeous coin at around $2500.

A REAL nice example of a great coin type!!

AU-58. Hard to gauge the luster and make sure there isn't any rub from these photos. I think that it would grade problem free.
