FadeToBlack Pillar of the Community 1751 Posts	Posted 09/12/2013 03:10 am Acetone will dissolve the PVC and won't damage the coin at all. It's a solvent, not a cleaner. If you let that coin sit, the PVC will eat into it's surfaces and damage it. Report this Post to the Staff
Wiggam007 Valued Member United States 217 Posts	Posted 09/12/2013 10:36 am To clarify, the PVC is the green gunk all over the reverse. Acetone only dissolves organics and plastics so it is perfectly fine to use, especially on silver coins. Report this Post to the Staff
