The last week has been interesting roll hunting. A bank sent me an email and they had 270 Eisenhower dollars they wanted to get rid of. I took them up on their offer. I don't know much about dollars but thought why not. After sorting and reviewing I came up with a 1973 P. 1972 Type 2, 1976 D Type 1 and a 1974 D DD. Below are additional finds within this week. 1964 quarter Cud quarter 2005 P MN WDDR-001 quarter 9 silver dimes 1938 D AU Jefferson 3 War Nickels1984 P 1DO-01-01 Lincoln a couple of trail die Lincolns 5 or 6 minor Lincoln DD's If I can just find some half dollars to go through! Still Lookin

So far, it's been a very slow week for me. I did find a '48S nickel for my Whitman folder and a 2009 "Presidency" penny. Hopefully the next couple of days will be more fruitful. Edit: Forgot about the '64 Cent that I found that is quite the looker!

9 silver dimes in a week is pretty good. How many rolls did you search?

A bag of 10,000 from a machine at a local bank. I usually find on average about 4 per bag. The last two bags had nine each.

If I may ask, which bank gives you bags of coin? I have PNC and US Bank here, and they won't sell me bags. In fact, PNC has two branches with machines, but all the coins go together in one Big case. Probably weighs a ton or more when full. Other than that, a couple credit unions, and they won't either. You still at (12), 99 WAM's? I've been stuck on 10 for almost a year now.

Yes I am still at 12 1999 WAMs. Some banks will not sell their bags. I don't think that my bank would sell bags to just anyone. I don't even know if it is against their policy. They know that there will be no questioning the amount in the bag from me. I do know that someone else was at one time buying coins from them. They quit selling to them once they started questioning the amount in the bags/boxes. I think that selling bags to me is just based upon the relationship with the bank. On several occasions the bank has been short one bills or some specific coin and has ask me to pick some up for them. Once one branch was out of the roll paper for the change machine and was going to send a runner over to deliver it to another bank. I told them that I was going that was and would deliver it to them. Just helping them out helps me out. There is another bank in town that I could get there bags but my hands are about full. Sorry but I won't tell you what bank. Any inquiry may upset the apple cart.

No problem still lookin.
I also have good relations with the banks who have bags, but they say that Garda and Brinks are responsible for the contents. I do have several south of me (halfway to LEX) that will sell me bags, but none in the general area. After I posted yesterday, I was going through $29.00 in cents sold to me by a friend. His wife had counted them out, but not rolled them. About 3/4 of the way throught them were two '98 WAMS, both AU. Hoping to find more when I finish them today.

If you are north of Lexington, the banks that I receive bags from are not located there. Good Luck.
