I have a bunch of pennies that look like they have been assaulted. I have been reading about all types of errors but I haven't seen any that look like either of these.
Errors-Or-Just-Coin-Abuse?
Are these mint errors or was someone taking their frustration out on these pennies?

Thanks in advance for your help, I am really enjoying getting into this hobby!

just look like abuse ( PMD) to me. Left one was in a box of nails/bolts?, and the right one was squeezed by wire cutters/tin snips?.

I'm not sure where they came from other than they were in my dad's "old" coin jar. Thanks, I think that damage was post mint, too. Thanks for the link to the acronym, what a great dictionary!

The 1945 looks like what I call a PLC - Parking Lot Coin. Been run over several times and mashed between car tires and the asphalt. Lots of the coins I pick up in parking lots look like this to some degree.

Second one looks like it was cut with a set of side cut pliers.
