albertharris Pillar of the Community United States 901 Posts	Posted 09/15/2013 6:16 pm Recent die polish obscured markers from CC; probably die clash most noted below LIBERTY. However, close photos reveal markers. A nice tilted repunching shows especially in the upper serif. NE-SW die scratches show around the date and mint mark - these die scratches continue to the other side of the bust around LIBERTY. Note die clash below LIBERTY. A heavy die scratch shows extending east from the upper lip. Note same "E-F" shaped pattern in field NE of Y in LIBERTY. Die scratch from lower color to Y in LIBERTY. A very heavy die scratch runs NW-SE inside the upper left of the T of CENT. Other die scratches in the area show in a concentric pattern. A light die crack shows in the outside upper left wheat grains. Report this Post to the Staff
