It looks like the bottom of the "T" came off and stuck to the top?

It might be a die chip? A closer look might show more?

To me it looks like extra metal. A good portion of the metal can get stuck in a die, and later on transfer to another coin. Or as you mentioned, a combo of an issue with the planchet and the strike sort of peeled the metal off.

The picture is OK, but its not the greatest. I am sure many will request a better pic or a full pic of the coin front/back. Just a heads up = )

I now own a 10-40x stereo microscope that has a separate place for a microscope camera and I am finding all sorts of neat things. It was about a 300 investment, but it has already paid me back in some significant finds that I wouldn't have seen with a Loupe.

If that is the sole issue on this coin, its probably deemed as "damage", but I don't study Quarters all that much - but there are people in this community that do.

One other thing, always remember that the collectible is only as valuable as the collector is willing to pay for it. Haggling is an art and means some one is interested....
