I disagree. here is the 72 DDO

i don't see any doubling at all on your coin. so yes your eyes are playing tricks on you. but it has happened to me too and I still don't have that one. but I did look at about 5 rolls of 72P today lol

It is definitely not the DDO-001, that one is the second most obvious DDO Lincoln behind the 1955. However, seven other 1972 DDOs are known. They are all lesser DDOs with small to moderate premiums. Go to coppercoins site link in the previous post and click on "1972P-1DO die listings" to compare.

I also agree that it is not a DDO however Chuck would know far better then I if it is or not.

Can you give us a close up of the date, "liberty", and "trust" ? I can't really tell from the picture given, but I think it might be Die #3 DDO.

I haven't figured out how to zoom in on just the letters with my scanner, It alway's come's out the same! Your Idea about the #3 kinda look's like it, but looking at the 2 in the date, I've been looking at the #8. Thank's all for the response

Does a True DDO have to have all parts be doubled. I am assuming that just having a DD on the date is nothing more then a Machine Doubling.
