Real or fake coins? Real or fake seller? Or has the bottom dropped out of the coin market while I took a nap? 321211917571321211953946321211921287321211946496Check out the other items this seller has listed. If the coins are real, will the buyers ever see them? LOW price, free shipping, no feedback. I think it's a grab and run, but what do I know. I've always wanted a "1882 MS++++ Shield nickel" for $2.80, so I'm a biddin' like crazy!. Ben ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Nothing jumps out at me screaming fake, some of the silver may be cleaned. Mark my words...these prices will go up before closing. I have been told and experienced it, that now is not a good time to sell. Everybody has to start at Zero on ebay. Good luck!

I agree, everyone starts out at zero. Most start their auctions at 99 cents. You do get more bidders that way. The coins look real. And most of your bids come in the first and last 12 hours.
Having said that, my auctions have all been loooooooooow the last couple of weeks. And I know another dealer with the same experiance.
I would bid on these. Mostly because he/she will have fewer bidders because of no feedback. It is a gamble, just don't bid too much.

I don't know these coins at all, but although a 'new seller', I'm guessing from the wording of his ad, that he has had some bad experiences in the past. -or- Perhaps there is something about his coins that he doesn't want exposed by a TPG.

I doubt the prices will stay low since you told a bunch of coin nuts about them :) thanks. I also looked up their website and they're a cash for gold company, ripping off poor shlubs, gold parties?! http://www.mindakgold.com/gold-party I don't think it could get any worse than that.

Well the MS-65 1882 shield is an XF-45. The MS-64 1853 Half Dime is also an XF and it has been cleaned. The MS-65 1913 T1 buffalo is nice for an AU. And the "Gem High Grade" 1934-D buff is an XF-40 with a heavy scratch across the nose to the rim and some other PMD on the rev. Probably a net F-12.

Starting out at zero and over-grading problem coins on ebay is a path to certain success. What you see here is ground zero for another top rated plus seller.

I got 8 "MC015 Security notice: ebay listing removed" emails" one for each of the items I bid on from the new seller. Here's a copy. Hello... We're writing to let you know that this listing for an item you won or bid on is no longer available: 321211887286 - 1866 MS++++ Three Cent PIECE We understand this may be disappointing, but occasionally we need to remove listings. In some cases, the item itself is fine, but was listed in a way that didn't follow ebay's guidelines. Here's what you can do next: -- If you already paid, received your item, and you're satisfied, please disregard this notice. -- If you won the item but haven't paid, don't pay. Since ebay removed the listing, you're no longer obligated to go through with the transaction. -- If you already paid for this item through ebay, and it's past the estimated delivery time, you can open a case in our Resolution Center. Click the link below, and select the "I haven't received it yet" option. This will guide you through the process of opening a case. http://resolutioncenter.ebay.com If the seller offers you the item outside of ebay, we strongly discourage you from accepting the offer. These types of transactions are extremely risky and aren't covered by ebay buyer protection programs. If you didn't pay through ebay or PayPal, and: -- You paid by Western Union or MoneyGram, contact the company directly (Western Union 800-325-6000 or MoneyGram 800-926-9400). -- You paid by check, contact your bank to stop payment. Thanks, ebay My guess was that it was a fake seller. I wonder how they found out so quickly and pulled the sales. I don't know if any of the auctions finished and I don't know if I won any, but I didn't think it was real. Like they say, If it seems too good to be true... Did anyone else here bid on any of the coins? Ben

All of the original listing links still work; they may have been ended, but they weren't "removed." You wouldn't be able to see them otherwise. All have been relisted, with what doesn't seem like any changes from the original.
I've the impression from this seller that they're someone who knows somewhat about coins, but darn little about how to sell them, and is about to learn a hard lesson on the topic.

EBay's message was that the listings were pulled by ebay because they were... Quote:listed in a way that didn't follow ebay's guidelines. I don't know why you can still see the original listings after ebay removed ended them. Weird that ebay says Quote: -- If you already paid, received your item, and you're satisfied, please disregard this notice. That makes it sound like the coins are real, but the seller did something ebay didn't like. All eight of the messages I got said that ebay had pulled them, not the seller. I have no idea what the reason was, but I'm bidding again and I'll see if ebay pulls them again. Ben

Two changes in the relist /1/ No more pay on pickup and /2/ "This is a private listing and your identity will not be disclosed to anyone except the seller."

doesn't buyer protection cover you if a coin turns out to be fake?

Quote: doesn't buyer protection cover you if a coin turns out to be fake? Not if the listing SAYS it's a replica. But it's cross-listed under genuine coins and that should be a no-no
