1972 Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Or MD ? This One Has Dual Personalities

Collector-Corner Pillar of the Community 872 Posts	Posted 09/23/2013 7:19 pm After going through that 5000 count bag, I got about 250 machine doublings, give or take a half roll. I threw anything that looked suspect in there, and I will have to revisit. This one in particular was weird, but now, after some sleep,I can see the "9" is slightly reduced. the "7" and "2" look pretty normal with a birds eye view under the microscope. The Bottom of that "2" is fat compared to most, which is USUALLY indicative of potential doubling. Looks like the Machine Doubling negated the DDO effect. If I can find the time to shoot some really, really bizarre Machine Doubling and tripling, I will do so in another thread. Report this Post to the Staff
